Pro Evolution Soccer 2017
Introduction:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (officially abbreviated as PES 2017, known as Winning Eleven 2017 in some Asian countries) is a sports video game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami. It belongs to the Pro Evolution Soccer series and is the 16th installment in the franchise. The game was released in September 2016 and is compatible with the PS4 Pro console.
Konami entered partnerships with FC Barcelona, Liverpool F.C., Borussia Dortmund, and Club Atlético River Plate, incorporating official kits, player faces, club logos, and stadiums as exclusive content. Notable features include improved passing, Real Touch ball control, and enhanced goal-tending techniques. The fully licensed teams of Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona are included. The cover of the game showcases Barcelona players Neymar, Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitić, and Gerard Piqué, along with the team's home stadium Camp Nou beneath the UEFA Champions League starball design and an Adidas Finale football on the pitch.
About This Game
Critically acclaimed upon launch, PES 2017 was praised as one of the best Pro Evolution Soccer games to date, seen as a refinement of its predecessor, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. It was succeeded by Pro Evolution Soccer 2018.
Adaptive AI
PES 2017 introduces adaptive artificial intelligence (AI), enabling the AI to adapt to each player's gameplay style. This dynamic feature automatically adjusts AI tactics and strategic plans based on the player's strategic preferences and performance in matches.
Edit and Data Sharing
E3 2016 revealed that edit data could be transferred between PS4 consoles via USB, with data sharing being compatible across multiple regions. European, US, and Asian users could share data seamlessly. "Option files" allowed easier acquisition of kits, created teams, and players, automatically updating them when uploaded to the game.
Match Analysis
Match analysis, also known as Versus data, is available in offline games among friends and in online myClub matches. Players can analyze opponents' playing traits, favorite moves, and the areas on the pitch they frequent the most.
Official Partnerships
PES 2017 marked the first inclusion of Konami's partnership with FC Barcelona. Premier League teams Arsenal F.C. and Liverpool were licensed, with Liverpool forming an official partnership with Konami. Notably, PES 2017 excluded some major teams licensed in PES 2016, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Juventus, and Porto.

Partnership with FC Barcelona
Announced on July 26, 2016, Konami's official partnership with FC Barcelona spanned three years, featuring elements like the Tiki-Taka style, the "hymno," the classic kit data release, and Legend player appearances. Customers pre-ordering the digital download version of PES 2017 through the PlayStation®Store were entitled to sign a Barcelona player for use in the myClub mode. Exclusive use of the Camp Nou was reserved for the Pro Evolution Soccer titles throughout the license.
Partnership with Liverpool F.C.
On August 16, 2016, Konami announced an official partnership with Liverpool F.C., incorporating official kit recreations, player faces, and Liverpool's home ground Anfield. The game aimed to reproduce Liverpool's playing style, including the "Gegenpress" strategy adopted by manager Jürgen Klopp. Unlike the Barcelona deal, the Anfield stadium was not exclusive to the Pro Evolution Soccer series.
